Hello all!

Hope you've been well! It's been a while, but we finally welcome you to devlog number 6 for 25D_Fit! Quite a bit has transpired over the past few months, so let's get into it!

First, I'll start off with the game's next big item - the prototype! Now, you may be thinking, "Prototype? Isn't there already an alpha?" You'd be right, but the idea of the prototype is to spruce up what we already have to give you a cohesive package that will represent what the game will look like going forward. These changes will include improved controls, refined movesets, upgraded UI, new animations, more music, and additional quality of life additions to the game. More on details and when to expect the prototype to drop in the future!

Next, I'll discuss things from an organizational standpoint. Starting off the project, the team essentially worked in silos. Everyone did their own work, but there was very little communication among the group. We recently decided to shift into an "open forum" mindset, in which the team openly shares their progress with not only me, the project lead, but everyone. Overall, this helps us craft new ideas and lets us build more perspective about what's going into the game as a whole. So far, so good! I'd love to see how much better we can do with this new mindset!

We also had the opportunity to showcase 25D_Fit on a few occasions in person! Namely, we brought the game to a Lituation Community Center event and the Delaware Games Collective meetup. Needless to say, feedback is an incredibly important resource to game devs and we got a lot from both events! It's also amazing to see others enjoy the game so far. 😊 Thanks again for playing the game!
