Fighter's Devlog 3


Hey, all!

It's that time of month again. March has been an interesting time for 25D_Fit, presenting new challenges and opportunities.

Since last time, we finally cast our lot into the Humble Black Game Developer Fund. We're still waiting, but we're still chugging along. I have reason to believe the process could take a month or so. If it drags past that, I'll give them a friendly poke. In the meantime, we're also looking into other funding options. One thing for sure is that these dollars aren't makin' themselves.

A lot of the game's changes this past month were beneath the surface, with updates to mechanics like hitstop, physics, energy rates, etc. You could call the progress "invisible", so to speak. (It also gives me less visuals to use for this post. 🙃) This made presenting things for social media a challenge, but they're great talking points for conversations. I did a great deal of exchanging ideas with other indie developers and it was as fun as it was enlightening.

In terms of other parts of the game, we're gearing up with new UI, music, and writing that I can't wait to get out. Unfortunately, like anything, it takes time and careful planning. (What, you mean you can't just make all of 25D_Fit in a day?) Additionally, we have some changes going on within our indie team and have a decent amount of moving parts shifting about. When things settle, we should be able to hit the ground running and get a lot of the game's pending concepts out there. Expect some some stylin' updates in the future.
